BELL 205 A1 T53-17B is a reliable multi-purpose helicopter with a powerful Honeywell T53-17B engine, which provides as much as 1800 horsepower. With a maximum payload of up to 2000 kg (depending on altitude and temperature) and a capacity of up to 10 people (1 pilot + 9 passengers), it is ideal for demanding transport tasks and operations in demanding conditions. LOGGING

In cooperation with contracted forestry companies, we remove and transport wood from inaccessible areas.

Vertical tree pruning

Do you need tree branch removal or pruning services in a safe, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective way? With our advanced saws, we can safely, efficiently, and eco-consciously remove branches that grow into or extend over power lines.

Our vertical pruning services are an effective solution for:

  • Power lines of all voltage ranges, cable cars, chairlifts and other ski facilities, tram cables.
  • Pipelines in the oil and gas industry.
  • Public and private roads, paths and forest crossings.

We use the saws with a helicopter type H125 or H135. Due to the high capacity of the helicopters, the use of the saw is not limited by terrain or altitude. Due to its high capacity, work with the helicopter can be carried out in both flat and alpine areas, and in all seasons.

Limbo® vertical system

The system consists of a tank, a drive unit and a working unit. The autonomy of the saw is approximately 90 minutes. High-quality gasoline with two-stroke oil in a ratio of 1:50 is used as fuel.

The power unit consists of air-cooled two-cylinder two-stroke engines with a continuous power of 45 hp or 60 hp. The fuel mixture is prepared using diaphragm carburetors. The power is transmitted via a Variomatic transmission to a robust angular gearbox with multi-tooth shafts, on which overrunning clutches are also mounted.

The vertical saw is equipped with 10 carbide saw blades. Each blade has a diameter of 55 cm and a working speed of approximately 2,000 revolutions per minute. This allows you to cut branches up to 25 cm in diameter.

The working length of the system – from the attachment to the last saw blade – can be flexibly adjusted up to a length of 40 meters.

Vertical sawing of trees

Flycom Aviation is the only Slovenian provider of helicopter logging or timber harvesting services. Regardless of whether it is windbreak, icebreak, pest-infested wood, or just regular felling. We always adapt the helicopter to the type of tree and, together with you, find the most economical way to remove trees from your forest.

Our motto is simple: safety always comes first. In other words, we ensure you get optimal capacity utilization and cost efficiency, while ensuring a safe operation. Both for you and for us.

At your request, together with our contractual partners, we can create a "turnkey" project, meaning we take care of everything - from logging and transportation to processing and selling the wood on the market.

Our professional team provides a recipe for fast, efficient, safe and cost-effective work.

We also stack, sort and cut the wood to the appropriate length. In addition to transporting the wood by helicopter, we also handle felling with a crane, cleaning, thinning, felling trees, removing rocks and finally providing protection against creeping.

With the helicopter saw “Vertical Cut”, tasks can be completed efficiently and quickly, even in the most demanding conditions and on the most difficult terrain. It is a special saw for cutting and removing standing trees, which is fully adapted for use with a helicopter.

The Vertical Cut saw is used wherever the ground crew would be exposed to excessive risk or in impassable terrain. The presence of personnel on the ground is therefore not required with the Vertical Cut saw, as everything is done from a helicopter.

The saw is suitable for removing trees with a trunk diameter of up to 60 cm, and is most useful in cases such as forest restoration after avalanches, ice dams, natural disasters, or in cases where your forest has been attacked by woodpeckers.
